I notice the 3.73's are easier to come by (therefore cheaper prices) ... I plan on using one for my 2.8 swap, any input on this guys? or should I go with 3.46 or 3.25? __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 03-12-2008, 05:24 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | with swapped motor i would lean towards 3.25 or maybe 2.93. __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 03-12-2008, 11:19 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: nj Posts: 316 | yeah e30 halfshafts too! __________________ 97 base with 332ti engine tons of stuff in it | | | 03-12-2008, 11:49 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Golden, CO Posts: 283 | i am in the middle of collecting parts for my M50 swap, and just picked up a 3.25 lsd out of a 535 and a e30 case from the salvage yard for 70 bucks. thats where i would look. __________________ e46 325 brake upgrade, Dinan engine chip, UUC SS brake lines, UCC rotors, m68 17in wheels, Conti extreme contacts, Billstein sport shocks, H&R springs, M3 shock mounts, B&B triflow exhaust, K&N cone filter, Magnecor 8.5 wires, Meyle control arms with caster , Hawk ceramic pads, Understeer M3 SSK, UUC SS clutch line, 320 trans mounts. | | | 03-13-2008, 01:33 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | my salvage yards are USELESS around here... i went and visited pretty much the largest one in the province... they wanted $300 just for the locking gears out of a 1984.... fatfxckinchance... can almost get near new for that __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 04-24-2008, 11:16 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: nj Posts: 316 | UPDATE: sorry guys its been a while iv been trying to work n save for the swap. m52 motor fell through and i had to get a m50 with 90k on it. im doing the obd1 conversion still and just buying parts off guys on bimmerforums. magnaflow exhast, short shifter, radiator, motor mounts, all the appliances. ill have pictures up when i get more in dept with the project __________________ 97 base with 332ti engine tons of stuff in it | | | 04-26-2008, 09:07 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | nice! cant wait! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
