If you end up parting it out I need a drivers door panel, if in great shape and maybe the passenger as well. | | | 10-21-2013, 04:26 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Sep 2013 Location: Northern VA Posts: 37 | Ha! only last week was when I took it all out. I'm hoping someone can just get the whole interior so I dont need to deal with parting it out. If it takes longer to sell it all out, I'll resort to parting out (I'm not in a rush to rid it all but would be nice) updated with my info contact for the lurkers Quote: Originally Posted by raamaudio If only last week.....I bought a complete low mileage running car to swap interiors with so I could have Sand Blau......after looking for months for an interior. Price drop to $500 if you can pick up soon. Part out, if enough people want separate parts I'll part out the set and ship. PM or e-mail what sets you want | | | 10-26-2013, 04:44 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Morgan Utah Posts: 214 | Please reserve the front door panels for me, I will take them, we just need to figure out a fair price for us both Also let me know how the cargo cover is as not in the pics, if you have it that is. mine is pretty dirty and not sure I can clean it up well enough, if in great shape please reserve it for me as well. You can keep the speakers if good to sell to somebody else. Let me know Thanks Rick 801-829-4997 | | | 11-22-2013, 05:35 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Sep 2013 Location: Northern VA Posts: 37 | Hey all, I'm thinking of parting this set out (Spoke with MHarvey but it seems he won't be able to make the purchase for all the interior). I know Raamaudio had called dibs on the front panels. Raamaudio, I have someone interested in the back panels with the front/rear seats (Let me check if the buyer is really interested to pick it all up). But on the condition of the door panels, they are in good condition last I looked and took apart. I know I took one of the small screw cover from the passenger side though. TABS, I believe the front tabs are all there and re-glued from a previous owner. The back tabs I think some are missing. I recognize this is no way to enter a help-generating forum such as this, but I think I am probably just going to have to cut my losses on this car. To anyone else, Bao seems like a straight shooter and is eager to get something going for this. I just regret that I found as much damage as I had with this car. I am really sorry Bao. In preps to clean out and get ready for the new interior I uncovered some pretty nasty damage where it looks like someone was a victim of torque snap and slammed this car into a pole or something. Then sent it to some apes with tools and made the most god-awful patches you ever saw and repaired as little as possible to get it on the road. Always buyer beware... Well, they made more than one Montreal blue california roof I am sure. | | | 11-22-2013, 07:32 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Morgan Utah Posts: 214 | That sucks buddy, like the 02 Vette race car I bought for $35k only to find the frame had been sectioned in the front, carefully hidden, not in the log books, and the cage had some serious hidden issues as well. I spent a ton of money and time fixing it, the seller only had the car a few months and really did not know so I had no recourse. I actually flew to TX to check the car out, had it on a lift, watched it race, etc..it was a lower class race car so I intended to strip it down more and that is when I found the issues. I had raced for a few years in SCCA and 3 races in NASA with an illegal cage. I ended up cutting out and building a whole new cage and put the car on a rack before that to ensure aligned then fully gusseted it, brought elements out past the sectioning, etc....when done it was far stronger than stock or a regular caged car. I have owned dozens of cars and trucks and this was the only major issue I have ever had. | | | 11-22-2013, 07:35 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Morgan Utah Posts: 214 | A bit to far away unless you wanted to drive it back but I will be listing a clean 98, 120k miles, zero rust, not crashed, 5spd, etc......after the first of the year. | | | 11-23-2013, 09:34 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Morgan Utah Posts: 214 | I just took another look at my rear seat side panels and they are ok, not great, I could use them if I had to but I really need door panels, knucklehead drilled a bunch of holes in them to hold them on, use expanding foam to try to glue the leather on, made a huge mess out of them. So, I still have dibs on the door panels, I hope | | | 11-27-2013, 11:53 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: Sep 2013 Location: Northern VA Posts: 37 | Quote: Originally Posted by raamaudio I just took another look at my rear seat side panels and they are ok, not great, I could use them if I had to but I really need door panels, knucklehead drilled a bunch of holes in them to hold them on, use expanding foam to try to glue the leather on, made a huge mess out of them. I'll work with shipping with you but I think shipping the seats and dashboard can be costly due to the size | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
