Default I think I've gone insane

Well I just picked up a rebuilt LSD out of a E30 325is. The guy bought it to put in his M3 but he sold the car. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting it but I'm also kinda scared of the 4.10 ratio. I'm debating putting it in as is for a couple months and then swapping out to a 3.91 gear. I'll be sure to let ya'll know how it goes.

Wow that sounds like it will be crazy quick. You mentioned swapping out the gears. I have the 3.45 LSD is it possible to swap the gear to 4.10s or 3.91s? If so what do I need and how much? Thanks

I believe it would be a completely different housing.

4.10 will be nothing but shifting gears on and on.
1st gear will be SO short... pretty much useless. 5th gear's top speed will be about 80 MPH @5K RPM

I had a 3.73 and it was more work on the clutch than I wanted... Good luck on the swap.

That isn't as bad as what my car previously had on it. After changing out the diff that went bad and replacing it with one that supposed to go on there, I realized that at one time someone replaced the original with an auto diff (4.44 gears) I was ~65mph at 4k rpms ~81mph at 5k rpms. It was rediculous...

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

I'm running a 3.64 LSD, and all I do is shift, I can't imagine what the 4.10 would be like...

It is fast though..
