The guy bought it to put in his M3 but he sold the car. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting it but I'm also kinda scared of the 4.10 ratio. I'm debating putting it in as is for a couple months and then swapping out to a 3.91 gear. I'll be sure to let ya'll know how it goes. | | | 04-23-2005, 10:30 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: madison, WI Posts: 402 | Quote: Originally Posted by GDB Well I just picked up a rebuilt LSD out of a E30 325is. You mentioned swapping out the gears. I have the 3.45 LSD is it possible to swap the gear to 4.10s or 3.91s? If so what do I need and how much? Good luck on the swap. | | | 10-16-2006, 05:50 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Dallas, TX Posts: 21 | That isn't as bad as what my car previously had on it. After changing out the diff that went bad and replacing it with one that supposed to go on there, I realized that at one time someone replaced the original with an auto diff (4.44 gears) I was ~65mph at 4k rpms ~81mph at 5k rpms. It was rediculous... | | | 10-19-2006, 03:13 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: No.VA Posts: 14 | someone please direct me to a link or post where it tells me what exactly i will need to replace the diff to an lsd in a 95 m42....thanks in advance | | | 10-19-2006, 04:45 PM | #8 | doesn't care about you.
