A DASC kit, even brand new with their absurdly high price is ~$4k. And a nice Ti with low mileage...maybe $6k? Mods don't really increase value a ton...but good luck with the sale! __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 06-29-2009, 09:48 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: usa Posts: 378 | Quote: Originally Posted by themightyquinn I'm not sh*tting on your thread, you have a really nice car, but the fact that you want $12.9k and it's an auto is not going to go over so well with potential buyers. Mods don't really increase value a ton...but good luck with the sale! | TI in perfect condition with ultra low mileage (below 75K) and all original paint no accidents go for $8K-$10K when they do go for sale because they rarely do in the first place. tag on another $4K for the supercharger not including installation. This ti has nothing wrong with it and everything is perfect, if the price is right ill sell it. If someone is interested we can make a deal if not, no big deal. This is a car that can be kept untill its a classic and passed on to your kids one day. As for the auto vs. stick, its not a 350hp race car, its a 4 banger with a little boost, fun to drive but not something i woudl consider fast, maybe even more so for a lady rather then a guy, and some would prefer the auto. You can do a swap to manual very cheap if its that big of a deal. As much as i love the TI's (this is my 8th one) i hate its stock form as far as power goes, 138hp cant get you to pass someone on the highway, and stick wont help, its more of a nuescence to have to shift a slow dog like that, the supercharger gets it to where the car should have been stock to start with, so you can at least manuver around other cars and have a little fun with it. I bought it becuase i have never seen one in this condition over the last 6 years, and i just had to have it at the time, thinking i wont get another chance. Anyway just my opinion. Thanks for the input and who knows maybe ill lower the price in the near future, or just not sell it at all and take down the advertisemnet. PRICE DROP! $9,900.00 O.B.O.
