I figured I'd try Mother's "Back to BLack". So far after 2 washes still shiny and black! This stuff is awesome! Its this white liquid, rub on, rub off. My bumpers and trim look brand ****ing new!! And they're holding up after a couple of washes too, unlike some other brands....just had to share the joy!! Enjoy! | | | 07-06-2005, 04:52 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Does it cover over wax residue? __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 07-08-2005, 04:21 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: San Francisco Posts: 308 | It might, its alcohol based I think, so that might strip wax. I used it on the plastic around my mirrors, the fresh air intake grill--by windshield wipers..everywhere looks sharp. For the mouldings, I removed them all, cleaned them and treated them with teh Mothers B2B. But any trim that now looks kinda graying or chalky...totally makes it like new! | | | 07-08-2005, 05:32 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: SoCal Posts: 144 | I love that stuff, I've noticed it attracts some dirt over time, especially around the mirrors, but makes the car look new. Works on everything, even the grey trim for us base-ers. Just don't get any on your paint. __________________ known by most, hated by many, adored by the rest | | | 07-21-2005, 02:59 AM | #5 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Has anyone heard of or used "Forever Black"? I used it on my Honda several years ago and it made the black plastic/rubber bits look a LOT better. It lasted a year or so before I could tell that it was wearing away. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! I put on two coats and it looked really good. By the time i took the masking tape off it was dark so i'll get a better look tomorrow. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 07-21-2005, 03:23 AM | #7 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | heh heh heh.... what are the odds? Let me know how it looks, I've still got most of a bottle left and IF I ever find a ti, I'm sure it'll need a little TLC on the black trim bits. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! Posts: 12 | This may sound strange. But what I have done in the past is used Kiwi black shoe polish in the little bottle with the beveled sponge tip ( which is good for detailed application). It dries super glossy, no residue, covers wax residue, and last for more than several washes...........and it's cheap. __________________ Matt 98 BMW318ti / blue ~ 86 Porsche 944 / guards red. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
