I was wondering if any of you would like to contribute to the design and development of this system. Since you are the customers we are aiming for we would like your help in designing this system. If any of your would like to help us out please let me know personally by emailing me at jester4982@aol.com or at work at greg@seambmw.com . Thanks for your help guys and I look forward to hearing from you. I was thinking, how about something that would give that major HP increase for a lower retail charge fee Maybe you can design a intercooler, or is that just for turbos?? | | | 02-09-2006, 02:35 PM | #3 | doesn't care about you. However the main benefit will be larger, and in my opinion safer, HP numbers. I would pay $2500 for a system that nets me a 75 - 90 whp increase, but im a tight ass, im sure most people would fork over more. | | | 02-10-2006, 02:34 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 413 | i live in denver, and i know another guy and myself, who might be interested. let us know, we'd prolly come see em too, depending on where ya are | | | 02-10-2006, 05:24 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Welcome! Can you tell us more about you? I would tell you to study Downing Atlanta for the overall quality of fit, finish, appearance and customer support. Despite others claims of higher HP, they are the benchmark in these parts. This crowd may surprise you in its technical knowledge and DIY attitude. Be ready for a challenge as there was quite a stir over another debut going sour last year. Count the 2000 miles of distance between you and Miami as a blessing. IMO I think there is a market for less than 90hp for $1500 range, esp if it can be upgraded as time and $$ permit. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 02-10-2006, 05:48 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Marin County & Santa Cruz Posts: 116 | I agree, the lower the price the better. | | | 02-10-2006, 05:52 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by SlickmisterN I agree, the lower the price the better. | You have heard the phrase, you get what you pay for. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-10-2006, 06:22 AM | #14 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | from the area code listed on the website (719): SE Colorado: Pueblo, Colorado Springs __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 02-10-2006, 06:48 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 102 | No im sorry I dont know Joe we just recently acquired the 318ti we have been mainly focused on the E30 3 Series. And yes you are right we are located above Colorado Springs in the mountains. I do like the idea of a continuously upgradable system but I would have to see how we can fit that in our current layout. If you guys have any ideas for improvement or what you would want on a system let me know I would really like if I could talk to some of you using AIM if anyone is interested feel free to IM me at jester4982. Also I have to apologize our website is very old and we are just now finishing up our new site and we will be getting it online as soon as we can.Nice hearing from you guys!
