Default Headrest removal?

Hey everybody,
Just wondering...is it possible to remove the headrests from the front seats without any trouble. I was trying to pull it out, but it didn't detatch from the seat. It does move up and down though.
Is it just my car or what?
Thanks alot
-Randy

Isn't there a small button on the foot of the headrests? It should be part of the black plastic ring, where the headrest enters the seat. If u press (don't press down, but towards the headrest) this button while pulling the headrest up, it should come out

it's like the shift knob; just pull hard. two options

sit in the backseat and push up with the heel of your hand, or;
sit in the front seat facing backwards and lift.

it will kind of jump out of there, so watch your chin if you do it from the backseat, and try not to hit the headliner if you're doing it from the front. man, that sounds kind of dirty.

YES!!! Thanks guys.
I got it out of the seat. I just pulled it hard like what aceyx said hehe.
I was scared to break the seat and stuff, thats why I was wondering if there was a certain way to do it.

that's the funny thing about cars; sometimes you gotta be real gentle with it because something will snap real easily. other times you gotta take a hammer to it.

it's strange getting used to that "gentle but strong" prying force, but once you get used to it you can tell if something will break or not.
