And how tough it was to shift gears? For me it was too much but my mechanic buddy loved it. Said it was killer. Lots of beemer owners around the forums have this particular shifter and really like it. I'm sure you know all this from your own vast experiences with short shifters... It shifts fine. In fact 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th shifts are pretty damn quick and snickety. I just installed a new Z3 shifter and it's perfect for ME.
