I live in the Baltimore region. I am in the market for a 318 series BMW. My mom needs a reliable form of transportation and I have always admired the 318 series. When I go to visit, it would be fun to have it to drive. If you have a clean 318 series ( a hartch back would be great) for sale, live in the Baltimore region, give me a call, 202.409.8173. | | | 03-27-2012, 01:41 AM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: Sever, MD Posts: 4 | Well, this didnt take long, I purchased a 1995 318TI hatchback today. I bought a 1992 Miata a year ago, which was pretty abused. I registered with the users group, got great technical support and with all their advice broght the Miata back to better than new (my opinion) condition. I love this little red convertiable and I only have less than 4K invested, as well as some enjoyed labor. I am hoping to get the same out of this users group. This 318 hatchback has 127,000 miles on it. The owner was given the car by his brother inlaw as payment for installing a deck on his house. After three months the car died on him, he managed to get it started and in his words, limped home. He claims it ran fine up to that point, I really don't care about the conditiono the engine because for the price, I can buy a short block and still be ahead of the game. The car is extemely clean and appears well maintained. This is going to be a fun spring project. I am looking for advise on "after market" advice such as wheels/tires, exhaust, etc. Again, thanks for the warm welcome.
