I had the same dream and am on my second engine and ecu. it is alot faster but the tune is the hard thing to do. you need a piggy back. i went through motronic and i don't even like looking at my car anymore. plus you can't shift fast because the air flow mass meter door doesn't move fast enough. you would have to convert to a 6 cyl open style. My car has sat for 2 years and was built for 3. I don't even like coming on here because stock 318's suck and no one knows **** about FI really besides DASC which is a good system but people like you and I can't take the easy route can we? My 240 makes 400rwhp and was 2,000 stock plus another 1,500 for the turbo kit. It was cheaper, has a better car following, and will blow the doors off almost anything on the street. sorry for ranting but I have over 13,000 dollars into my 318 and it would probably only run a 13 in the 1/4 mile.

REDIS, I remember seeing your posts back when you got your manifold [possibly on bimmerforums?]. What did you use for your tune? Did you jump into the electronic fuel tune or did you start with an FPR? What turbo do you run?

the tuning was done by a guy who does motronic on VW's. he just threw the chip in a chip burner and went through all the maps..revs,fuel,etc. I have a Garret gt28rs dual ball bearing. "disco potato" boost is at 2800. I am currently cleaning up my car and will be throwing it up on ebay soon. I will make a post to the link when ever i do. if two people from this site bought my car for parts even they would be very happy.

With that in mind, I've still considered doing it again on the ti.

With the last setup, I made everything - the manifold, the intercooler pipes, the new throttle body setup, everything. If I had my way on the ti, I'd at least try to source a manifold, as that's really the hardest part to get right.

Here's the new owner driving it.

thats what you did wrong! You wasted your time on the hyundai accent instead of the ti!
