Default Need to sell my TI

I have a 1996 318ti california roof, silver ext, black fabric interior, manual, in flawless shape. I am the only owner and put 174k miles on it. The engine burns no oil, shifts great The seats and interior look like new. Paint was always waxed, and car was garaged. I love this car, but the roof is not sitting correctly and has leaked water through the right rear quater panel during 4 heavy rains this year (which then gets the right rear seat damp). I am going to sell it, potentially to Carmax. I don't have the expertise to part it out. However, one of you guys might could get the roof sitting correctly and enjoy it, or part it out yourself. I will post up pics tomorrow. I am taking reasonable offers. PM or send to dmbell@bellsouth.net

Not really. I don't know the 'ballpark' and need to hold onto my cards a bit until I can see what it could bring. I'm not delusional and know it will be well under $5k, of course. BTW, the car is in Atlanta, GA if anyone wants to come and see it.

Few other things - it has a trip computer, I have the oem factory radio cassette (and the after market cd player is installed), new oem floor mats, new oem shifter knob (I have an intolerance for anything showing wear). As with many 318ti's, the SRS (seatbelt/airbag) light is on and reflects the design flaw of the seatbelt clip which triggers the light even when it is working fine. I replaced it twice, and the light would go off a month later every time. Everything else is working great - a/c, heat, belts and hoses replaced, etc. The trunk interior does show some wear. New trunk deck lid, and new side panels (covers the speakers and holds the lid bracket). Replaced the air-lifters (I'm forgetting the part name) that opens and holds up the hatch. Michelin tires have 75% tread life. It has no aftermarket attachments (wings, exhaust, etc). I'm all about oem and keeping it like it was driven off the showroom floor.

Basically, if you can fix the roof, or just don't drive it in heavy downpours with a person in the rear seat (it didn't drip down, but simply soaked into the seat enough to make 20% of the right side seat damp), you will have a like new 318ti.

I dont think youd be too hard up to get 5k or even 5.5k for it. Sounds like its in good shape other than the top. And with the relatively rare cali top too. Good luck on the sale

Few more pics. Don't worry - the Quebec tag is a collector's tag that looked good on the car. It has never seen salty roads.
