Default ABS light still on with new sensors

My abs light came on a while ago, went to a shop which uses some sort of a bosch unit to read fault codes and got 2 both on the front sensors.
Bought new ones put them in and cleaned the rings and the light is still on....

IF it is something else wouldn't that have been visible with separate fault codes? The way I understood it is that if a relay is bad it would throw a code and so would the pump.

i dont think itll be a sensor then, if the car is stoppd the light will just go out *i think*

when you start moving and it cant read a sensor then itll come on.

I dont know what to sugest really.

iv'e had a similar situation, code said right front sensor was bad, replaced it with oem sensor, cleaned etc. and after starting it a few times and driving a little the same code comes back, computer let me clear it, but kept coming back, i'd love to know why that is.

with that said i did replace the front struts, around same time, someone said that you need to get an alignment done after doing struts, or the speed sensor will be tripped if wheel is out of alignment.

haven't had a chance to test the theory out by getting an alignment yet.

These ABS units are known to fail internally. There's a bunch of little ribbon cables that become brittle and break, triggering a fault.

It happened on my E36. I rewired the pump and it fixed the light. Been working perfectly for a few years now after the repair.

Not saying this is your problem, but it's something to look into.

I would check your wiring from the sensors to the control unit before jumping in to the box of tricks that is the abs pump/control unit

This link might help
Good luck
