I know of a guy who put a LS1 Camaro/Corvette engine in an E36. Another guy (on here somewhere) put a Chevy small block 305 in a 318ti. The BMW M3's motor (the S52 or S50) is always a good, fast motor. It can use the same tranny, same mounts, and requires the least modification, where you'd have to custom-make engine mounts and some other stuff for the Chevy motors. BMWDrifter is Jeff, and he runs a shop in Columbia, SC. Talk to him about what he did to put the Chevy 305 in. That car is a drift monster. | | | 05-09-2005, 09:27 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Southern California Posts: 420 | Thanks, I want to stay Euro, but I know the chevy would be a cheap on maintance down the road. would it? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
