looks like fun, interesting spot for the radar detector though, I'm not sure if I could stand having that cord running across my vision
according to some so called 'experts' (Alex Roy). the best placement for a radar detector is up high. apparently it increases the range or something but who knows.

I thought it was just me. LOL the placement of the detector isn't bad, but that cord dangling down so close to both the steering wheel and shifter would piss me off about every 30 seconds.
sokat, you should investigate the possibility of getting power from the sunroof. There are probably other options too.

yea i've been meaning to hardwire it for a long time, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Its on the 'to-do' list along with sunroof repair, ABS module replacement, aiming the DDM ellipsoids down so as not to blind on coming traffic with my low beams, headliner refresh, and just a plain ole wash.
No. And my radar detector is hardwired so it only goes on when the motor is on. Easy enough to run the wire along the headliner and down the A pillar. Pop out the vanity light to make it easier to snake the wire through.

If I had a camera mount I would have shot some video Saturday of myself, Eric & Sze Lin, and Dusten & Kirsten driving through Rocky Mountain National Park to Grand Lake, then the US-40 loop back to Denver. Was an awesome drive until one of Dusten's rear tires blew on I-70.
