Default Newbie to 318ti but not BMWs...

...'cos I've owned and driven them since 1972 when I bought my first 2002 model and joined BMW CCA (member #1974). Since then I've had five 2002s and an e21.

Aside from my current 2002tii, an INKA Orange rust-free example, my daily driver is a 1988 E30 325is (auto.). I just purchased a 1992 E36 318is (5-speed) that I'd hoped could be newer/more reliable, but with 180K, it's still too old and tired.

I've put them both up for sale. My tii stays.

I truly want a 318ti Club Sport or M-Tech with a 5-speed. Maybe a California roof. A well-maintained original car would be my first choice, but tasteful mods are welcome. Here in Michigan the ti compacts are quite rare, so as part of my adventuring spirit, I'd be willing to travel to the hinterlands to find the right car. Possibly someone out there can inspect or recommend a car.

Anyone wanna trade my two cars for their 318ti?

Glad to have you in our community. Also, I'm glad you converted to the dark side of BMW's...the e36's without trunks. (= There must be something in those letters you like...keeping the tii and buying a ti.
