Since all '96 and later 318ti's with the sport package came with mtech trim, it just sounds silly/douchey to hear people call them "M sports" or "318ti M's" or "M 318ti's". FWIW, there's nothing "M" about a 318ti besides maybe a couple plastic pieces. If the VIN starts with "WBA" or anything other than "WBS", it's not an M. So if your ti is '96 or newer, then you can automatically rule it out as a clubsport. Clubsports came with a very limited and standard set of options. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showpost....60&postcount=8 __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! It behaved wierd in the beginning but after changing the crankshaft sensor and air mass meter it runs perfect. Its so fun to drive its stupid, especially on gravel roads with the acs+t disabled. Also it runs _incredibly_ silent, the engine is barely audible in idle with the blower on. I'm not really sure but I think the 323ti has the sport package (all -99 and -00 E36 323ti has the sport package I think?), with half leather sport seats, M steering wheel, acs+t etc. Last edited by incision; 07-08-2012 at 12:16 PM. | | | 01-28-2013, 10:29 PM | #246 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2013 Location: Germany, near Stuttgart Posts: 8 | I drive a ´00 323ti, Limited Sport Edition, with the //M package outside, avus-blue, Styling 42 wheels, half Alcantara sport seats. I changed the sports-exhaust which the pre-owner fitted to a standard one. It was too loud on the Autobahn. | | | 01-28-2013, 10:33 PM | #247 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Germany Posts: 68 | It's Sport Limited Edition. It appears to be an Active. I need to find a definitive way to ID that. | | | 02-05-2013, 05:40 AM | #252 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Quote: Originally Posted by runnr548 Our newest BMW is a 97 318Ti, our first "Ti", even though I've been wanting one for a few years.
