Over all condition: 8.
Exterior condition: 8. Hood is badly chipped and there is a very small dent in the driver's side door. no antenna
Internal Condition: 5. Seats are fine except for a small cig burn on the back seat. Headliner is falling in places, no floor mats, driver's side window needed new clips, steering wheel leather worn through. Shifter leather worn through, in dash computer display garbled. Driver's side door panal has broken internal mounts. Missing seatbelt mount covers. rear cargo tray faded with broken pivot mounts. Missing passenger side speakers in door.
Mechanical condition: 9. Needs brakes, ball joint, and cam sensor. (Came with all three in boxes) Might need new struts (hard to tell with a bad ball joint)

Save for all the classic problems (window clips, headliber, and the wear and tear items (Steering wheel, shift knob) the car is in excellant shape and will probably easily last another 96,000 miles

1997 318ti M package California Edition----
i bought it for 14k with 62k miles in 2003. It was in perfect condition inside and out.all stock. factory 6 disc cd changer. Leather and cloth inserts. Heated seats. 10 speaker system. california rollback sunroof. i bouth it on e-bay from pensylvania...and had it shipped to california for $900. A lady owned the car and it smelled like sweet sweet perfume.

Heres an update for the guide.

Just sold my 96 sport for $10750 Australian or $8190 US (August 2006)

227,000 Km or 136,000 Miles

I orignally bought the car for $20,000 Australian with 152,000 KM 91,000 Miles (november 2003)

Sunroof, ASC+T, half leather, aircon, aftermarket Alpine head unit, Apline amp, alpine 12-disc stacker in boot, 2xairbags.
$10,000 NZD (about $6500 - $6800 USD). Immaculate apart from two very small paint chips on the roof and a missing wheel rondel (which was replaced at the time of purchase)

I love it, and it loves being driven. Goes faster on 98 octane gas & gives 30+ MPG. What's not to like!

I bought mine 4/05. I paid $4k for the TI, actually. I was headed down south to pick up a 92 325 (I believe it was a 92). He called me when I was in between his TI, and the 92. So I decided to swing by and check out the TI, because Ive seen one that was repo'd, and I liked it, they just wanted like $8k for it, and it was tore up. So I th ought $4k was a steal.... Til I blew the head gasket, and had to basically redo the whole engine.
