Default USTCC Final Drive TV 2009 Season Opener

Thought I'd put this up - our season opener from April at Thunderhill. I had a crappy start (drove too much Spece30 in the off-season ), but there's some good in car video showing the ti's strengths.

Quali 2nd, Finish 2nd.

Very cool. Is the wing somewhat new? Got any info that you are willing to divulge about it?

Congrats man, thats a sweet video. I love the part where they are in the SRT-4 and talking about all the HP it has and how it was catching up to you. Then a turn comes up and you leave him in the dust, haha so cool.

Sure - We did the aero in preparation for the end of last year, and were rewarded finishing the last 3 races on the podium. The wing is an APR wing with the APR risers plus some extenders that Omnifab in Santa Clara, CA made up for us. For USTCC we aren't limited how high the wing can be, just that it cannot go too far behind the car, or be wider than the car. Our ideal setup puts it just about roof level, and we do change it depending on the track.

It's balanced out by a homebrew splitter in front and we've just been testing a diffuser to go with it. Our main competition (The TSX in particular) has a very advanced suspension (A-arms, SWC level prep, super-adjustable) so we've been able to compensate with some of these things. I'll see if I can post some pics.

Here's the 1st incarnation of the wing:

And leading from pole in November - good shot of the splitter.

We're still tweaking the diffuser, but it worked great at our last race in Fontana, giving us some better top speed. I'll have to get a pic of that as well.

They've really been cranking out the videos from earlier this year, in anticipation for us racing at Miller Motorsports Park at NASA Nationals in two weeks.

Enjoy some more racin' action:

Are there any east coast events, or is there a schedule somewhere? It would be sweet to have a little ti support meet at one of the tracks.

Edit - Found the schedule. Crap, looks like VIR was in July. Although the Glen in October might work...
