May I know what boost you are running with the M90 and how much power is the car making? A intercooler is worhtless unless it's after the SC or compressor like a turbo. The heat is built up when the air is compressed. I noticed the intercooler piping in one of your pictures but the way it's setup it's cooling the air before it hits the SC. The discharge from the SC needs to go throught that intercooler cause that's where it comes out real hot. At 25psi the air temp leaving the SC would be around 250 degrees killing performance and boost pressure. hot air can compress easier and cold air is more dense so it can't compress as much creating more boost. Dense air that is cool has more oxygen and can take more fuel making more power. The biggest issue with a SC is cooling the boost when you go over 12 psi. You need a aftercooler or the only other two options are meth and my favorite a small shot of Nitrous that hits at -127 | | | 02-25-2009, 04:51 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: san jose Posts: 425 | Quote: Originally Posted by halcrontech Hi! Let's do a little math on the Metric 2100FI 2048cc is 125ci. A Nascar engine puts out around 750 HP and is 355ci so 2.11 hp per ci. Your motor 125ci at 400hp would put out 3.2 hp per ci. But it would require to cut the DASC manifold to add the core... It's still in the design process, but so far it looks like it can be done. All I can say is stay tuned... eheheh __________________ 2003 Z4 2.5i 2002 Ducati Monster S4 | | | 02-25-2009, 05:51 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by lpcapital I'm working on a water-to-air aftercooler. I bet I could move everyting over 2" in my car with no problem and add a longer belt plus fab a new mount from the SC to motor mount bracket. I have no problem cutting the manifold in tow but don't know how to seal the inside so the hot boosted air doesn't go right around the cooling grid | | | 02-25-2009, 05:52 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: san jose Posts: 425 | its all good it was built to my likings show and gooooo my bratha... | | | 02-25-2009, 05:54 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: san jose Posts: 425 | Quote: Originally Posted by lpcapital I'm working on a water-to-air aftercooler.
