hey, i have a 98 318ti and my older brother has a 92 325i. i wondering how hard it would be to swap the engines in these two cars. i offered him 1,000 dollars 4 the switch and he said if it can be done go ahead. i want speed, he wants good mpg sooo, works out good for me. is it possible? what all needs to be swapped?

Do you have emission laws where you live?
You want to put a 1.9 in the 325?
The 1.9 is OBD-II. The 325 is OBD-I.

I would just trade cars.

If your area's emission's connect to your OBD port, your screwed since it's looking for an OBD-II.

Seems like too much trouble on a 15 year old motor.
