Seriously though. Check into local car clubs in your area. I know my local autocross club has one for members to use. Also, if it's more for a track car then a DD you can always try the baseball bat and HEAT GUN trick. The most fun I've ever had working on a was rolling the fenders on a brand new Merc SLK 320 in order to fit 275-40-17 Khumo v-710's the night before an auto-x with a baseball bat and a heat gun "borrowed" from the local discount tire store!!! The second side looked amazing! the first, not so much ;-) | | | 08-07-2009, 02:12 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Odenton, MD Posts: 419 | Harbor Freight is now selling a tool identical to the Eastwood/Tirerack tool, but for much less money. Currently on back order.... If you were closer to MD, I could hook you up. Rolling just pushes the inner lip of the fender onto itself so that running lower offset wheels is possible. Without rolling the fender lip the tires on the lower offset wheels would get cut by the sharp lip. The only before and after to see is a little metal lip pushed upwards. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-02-2009, 04:22 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Santa Maria, CA Posts: 277 | Yeah, found that bad fact out the hard way :'( How would fender pulling work? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
