airbag light is just a sensor in the drivers seat belt buckle, nothing to worry about, the airbags still deploy

The light confuses me. My manual (all original still in the glovebox) says the light will be on steady or blink if there is an issue. Mine comes on when the car is cranked and goes off about 1/2 block later and stays off. What does that mean?

I understand. What puzzles me from searching here is that some people report a constant light and other say their light goes out after a minute or so (like mine). Seems the majority suggest the latter means the p/s sensor is bad. Is that correct?

We would really like to, but they are both working this Sunday. However, the money they earn will likely be spent on the car!

I just picked up the car last weekend and I have the same "issue" with my airbag light. It's on when I turn on the car, stays on for a minute or so and then it's off.
