"The start-up automaker has already announced that it will assemble the E7 at a facility in Connersville, Indiana, and says it already has received more than 10,000 production slot reservations from around the country for the police cruiser, which isn't expected to go into production until 2012 at the earliest."

the car is sick, but not as sick as this line from the posters

An American engine would be a great idea! Whose 3.5-4.0L inline 6-cylinder turbo diesel producing 425+ lb-ft of torque should they use, exactly?

I already knew about the e7, but I didn't know that they were gonna use a BMW role.

They were "Keepin it Real" when they introduced the 318ti ClubSport in '95 and the 318ti Sports from '96 to '99.
After that... well nothing else really matters.

what about "bigblockman13"

"a BMW diesel?? i can see operating/maintenance costs going through the roof. BMW motors are temperamental, they need their specific bmw oil to operate, not like a detriot V-8 that will run with whatever you put in it.... I've just never trusted german engineering to be as long lasting as an american V-8..... Thats just my opinion from working as a mechanic"

because BMWs are soooo unreliable
