Default sill Damage. does it really need to be fixed?

Hi all,

Had my shock mount fixed today and was told that I've got full sill damage on the Left side of my car. you really have to look hard to see anything wrong. do i really need to spend $548 bucks to fix it? what can it hurt if i just didn't worry about it?

A picture or better description of the damage would help.

+1, pics would help, but if it's barely noticeable even if you're looking for it, I'd say it's not worth repairing for that price

do you mean the rear shock tower, as in the rear shock mount? Not sure what "sill" means down under- here it would be the door sill that you step over to enter the car.

If the paint is chipped, you should cover it with some touch-up paint. That will make the damage even less noticeable, and will reduce the chance of rusting.

I can't even see anything, and any damage that was there will be covered by the body kit, so yeah, don't worry about it

Finding another piece of stock molding and painting it to a near-match +installation would be a lot cheaper than $548..
