I emailed the seller on eBay asking if they had any customers that successfully installed turbos on their M42/44 engines using their product... 2 days later I got an email that simply said "SEARCH ONLINE"...
Not very reassuring words from a seller...

Here's some research material. These images are not mine and were posted by a guy with a 318is on m42club a while back (mtmatrix was his handle). After installing and tuning, he decided to sell everything on ebay as a kit. He had to mod the downpipe that comes with the manifold in order to get it to fit properly -- I don't think rotating the turbo cut it. It looks like everything fit snugly (wastegate port included) without needing to modify the manifold after relocating the coil pack. Sawing off a 6 manifold is going to be a lot cheaper if you weld -- although you'll need some spacers for it to fit.

The vertical oil pump return and under-rack IC piping scare me.
No telling what kind power this setup was producing, although I think he was running 7-8psi with the stock headgasket, no rebuild or modifications, and mechanical fuel tuning with an fpr.
