Default de-chrome the chrome?

Here's the story.

i used to have the stock 15" sport 10 spokes (which i actually quite like) - but unforeseen wild animals at 65mph & big rocks at the road side bent one.

so i've been running 15 inch steels for the last couple months.

last week i ebayed & got some 16 inch 5 spokes off a Z3 (he swapped for M coupe rims) - Picked them up yesterday & they're CHROME!!

I've never been a player but the chrome seems too bling, just a little bit ghetto.

Anyway on one of the rims the chrome is peeling around the tyre valve & the others are soon to follow (the wheel interiors gone already) - so should i just leave it & go with the chrome? or sand them all down & go for a standard aluminium finish?

Yeah Im with Davep-uk sand them down and paint them black or silver depending on what you like. Its pretty simple to paint rims as long as you follow the instructions on the can for time in between coats.

I have similar rims now, but they are 17's, (235/45/17). I was considering of doing the balck or graphite color rims, but for now the chrome doesn't look bad w/ the black paint. Chrome doesn't really go w/ your paint color. If you are going to ditch the chrome bling, then I would go w/ black rims.
