Default M44 water pipes question

A real quick question-

I have been able to convince myself that I need to remove the intake manifold to replace the water pipe that is on the side of the motor. However, I have to take the valve cover off to do a new gasket, while the intake is off as well, is the "rear of the block" plastic water pipe accessible from above? What would be the best recommended way to replace that rear one? Thanks in advance.....cheers mates!

There are some really nice writeups in the knowldegebase documenting the replacements.

If you already have the intake off for the side one, do the rear one. That will give you the room needed.
