Default CSL 18's on an E36 compact?

After seeing the E46 CSL wheel thread, I have decided that I want a set of those wheels on my E36 318ti.

Anyone have any pics of an E36 Compact with CSLs on?

I presume that they should fit straight on without problem?

I believe the smallest CSL reps are 18x8.5 so you'll almost definitely need to roll your fenders and still might run into rubbing issues.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

you should be fine 18x8 et40... depending on how low u are though, a 40 series tire might be a little big

e46 CSL/ZCP Wheels are completely different than the replicas... They are made my BBS for BMW, and the replicas are not "the same". I had them on my e46 M3 and yes they looked cool, but they are not as hard or as light as the originals, the other thing is the shape of the spokes are different on the originals, if you look at the wheel on side view they undulate. It begins from the deep concave center on the rears and it goes out & in and out again to the edge of the rim... the front are not as deep (concave) as the rears, but the undulation on the spokes is noticeable as well. The OEM wheels only come in 19", replicas will be 18" & 19", but I repeat they are not the same... I had them both in my car, and the replicas were a waste of money... better off getting BBS wheels that actually fit the Ti's, you'll enjoy them more in the long run (Fit, Finish, Quality, Durability). Just my $.02...

The word "replica" is always equated to junk. id rather roll on a base name brand than replica anything, they suck. As mentioned above, you want BBS look, buy the damn BBS wheels.

Not really the wheels I have are replica wheels, but are made by the sister company of who make the real BMW ones. Also the finish on my wheels is a good, if not better than genuine CSL ones. (My friends dad has a CSL) to buy genuine ones you are looking at £1,500-£2,000.

So 100% worth it in my opinion!

I bought "replica" CSL/ZCP(competition Package US) and the looked really nice, the offset was off, and they bent easily. They got stolen from my car, guess the dude's didn't know they were getting "crap", so I went to the dealership and found out that the ZCP wheels were cheaper than the 19" M3 wheels... Here's the thing, those wheels are not for the e36 and especially the 318Ti... They might have looked normal on an e46, but they are way too big for the e36... If you really want them or something similar to them you can save a little extra money and get either BBS Wheels, or you can get the ones from the newer 3 series BMW's that look very similar to those wheels.

Like everything tho, you can get poor quality replicas, and good quality ones I guess. Maybe you were unlucky?

The Real Deal:

BTW This is what I woke up to when they stole the replica rims....This was in Studio City in Los Angeles... a Brick holding the car up on the other side and they couldn't take the jack with them!...
