Posts: 44 | Right, im back! Long time no see huh! The Mad Scotsman has been up at the 1/4mile with the Ti, and i ran a 16.02 at 88mph. Im completely standard apart form a S/S from CAT backwards. I beat a few standard Toyota Starlet GT Turbo's (EP82 & GLANZA), Kept within spitting distance with a Focus RS, Yaris T-SPorts- pissed all over them! Loads more, great day! This a good time? | | | 04-20-2007, 02:40 PM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: OKC, Oklahoma Posts: 387 | Quote: Originally Posted by biker32 an 07 Z06 i got my ass handed to me | dude you gotta be kiding me tha vette was prob not even racing and about insurance mine is $1200 a year for the ti i was amazed it was more than my 1998 audi A4 quattro | | | 04-20-2007, 02:46 PM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Downtown Historic Fredericksburg, VA Posts: 339 | i've taken a 2002 v6 mazda millenia on the outside of a turn __________________ now when i hit that switch, I'M BOUNCIN. | | | 05-02-2007, 01:02 PM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: lancashire, england Posts: 300 | i pay £500 a year fully comp. dont not get a dasc just because of insurance, go third party and dont declare it. if you have a bump insurance dont even look at your car anyway! my car is pretty much standard, 1/4 mile is in the 15's with the car stripped. as for cars i've beaten, christ, my best race was an old maserati 2.5 bi-turbo, it overtook my friends 94 325i no problem but couldnt keep with me in about a 10 mile stretch of b-road, the thing could catch up on the straights, but i could outbrake/corner every bend. i dont advise racing maserati's, it wasnt a breeze, i had to use heel-toe to create oversteer in the tight twisties and was half-flat shifting. my car did smell of burnt clutch/brake pads when the guy flashed me to pull over at a pub and see what car i was driving. (my car's completely de-badged at the back). __________________ E36 3.0 M3 Cosmos Schwarz E36 1.8 318ti Cosmos Schwarz | | | 05-03-2007, 02:46 AM | #35 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: MIAMI Posts: 1 | I recently saw the 1/4 mile times and it is 16.4. | | | 05-22-2007, 04:23 AM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Lake Oswego, OR Posts: 136 | im paying like 280 a month,(sucks had to put 1/2 my paycheck into it and delay my dasc) after i had a wreck, for my 318i '96. jackass in front of me, in a yellow bug, stopped in the middle of the intersection for a squirrel. only like $200 of damage to his car and $100 to the car in front of him, but like 5k to my car( i was in my moms highlander at the time- that Asian car is made of plastic, i swear to god. I will be like about $260 a month on my TI. Im just not going to tell them about the supercharger, plus i heard somewhere that, unlike turbos sc's don't raise insurance, idk about that. I'm happy with all that. | | | 12-07-2007, 02:59 AM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | You get 100 octane out of the pump?! __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 12-07-2007, 08:38 AM | #42 | Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Munich/Bavaria Posts: 91 | we have 102 octane here, too. 100 octane is good enough for the bosch DME to squeeze every little bit of torque out of the 318ti, and to give it a smooth idle. Plus, this fuel has a specialy added package of cleaning and "the engine will run smoother"-add-ons. I can do 34 miles to the gallon if i dont kick it too much - really good liquid they sell here What is the best fuel you can get in the US? | | | 12-07-2007, 03:26 PM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | 93 octane in dallas texas at the pump __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 12-07-2007, 03:30 PM | #44 | Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Munich/Bavaria Posts: 91 | OMG, that is poor (sorry), but how much is the gallon? we had 6$ the gallon here, currently we're at 5,64$. | | | 12-07-2007, 04:05 PM | #45 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | right now for 93 were at 3.26 __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
