Hey, i haven't really introduced myself, i have a 98 ti sport (black on gray). Its completely stock mainly because i dont have the money right now, and you all know how expensive quality mods are.

Well i tried installing a subwoofer a few days ago, it's a 10 inch pre-amplified bazooka tube. It has speaker level inputs. We couldnt find a good place to put the power wire from the battery through the firewall.

I read a post on here talking about how a guy went through behind the battery in the front. I tried that, but there are sooooooooo many wires that it would seem impossible to find where the whole is. I really want to get this sub in to made my sound system a little more beefy. I know many of you have installed subs and such, i am wondering where you went through the firewall at? Or possibly just where you powered your stuff from the battery?

its going to have to go through the firewall one way or another. behind the battery box if you remove it (on my '95) there is a large rubber plug with a bunch of holes in it with wires going through them. if you cant find a free hole, push it through with another wire. it just has to get through the wall then you're good. once you get through it, you may want to remove the glovebox so you have a little room to work under the dash to get the wire. then you can start removing trim and running the wire to the rear of the car.

Yeah, we found the hole to go through, however when we pull the glovebox thing out, there are about 1000 wires blocking where i cant see to get the wire through. This making sense?

yes it makes sense so far. what i did was secure the end of the power wire to the end of a clothes hanger. you can work your way through but do not force it. this is about finesse and not brute force, you do not want to break any wires that are in your dash (or anywhere really). maybe if you want to try, place a bright light in your engine compartment and point it at where the wire will go through. then get under the dash and see if you can see the light. that might help you on where to look for the wire when it comes through.
