Im looking at a set of Racing Dynamics wheels, but i want opinions on fitment. Seller says they are 17x8 ET46, 17x9(similar offset). Unfortunately i dont know the exact offset on the rear. Does it sound like these should fit? What size tires should i run? And will i need to roll fenders? Thanks!! | | | 03-08-2009, 06:29 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Scotland coatbridge Posts: 197 | stagerd wheels are the way forward i have 215 front and 235 rear on my ti and lowerd alot the wheels you have in question should fit no problem imo | | | 03-11-2009, 03:13 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: DoWNeY, CALiFORNiA Posts: 141 | I had 18 x 10 with a 45 offset plus a 5mm spacer in the rear. You should be fine. Especially with the offset of the wheel. Et 46 offset right? __________________ Road to redemption... | | | 03-11-2009, 03:42 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: New Zealand Posts: 49 | I thought 18X8.5 (225) is the maximum size we can go on Ti (rear)? now I might change to 235-245 rear to stop my tail slip. __________________ 13MW/// | | | 03-11-2009, 04:17 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: DoWNeY, CALiFORNiA Posts: 141 | I should of rolled the fender a little, but I didn't. Believe me when I say I was pushing it. It all about measuring. You have to realize that an 8 inch rim is actually 9 inches wide. The width is measured from the inside of the rim, wall to wall. My freind had some ADR wheels that were 9 inches wide in the rear and he had absolutely not problems. I was going through tires like crazy do to camber getting worse with the wider wheel. I had 245 in the rear, but the were stretching. Looked crazy but not cost effective... Oh, the things you do for beauty. I loved it. Ask any of the So Cal guys, they'll tell you. __________________ Road to redemption... | | | 03-11-2009, 11:11 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | not sure on the offset.. but I run 235/45/17s on DS1s all the way around.. and I am lowered down too.. I use this site if I want to know if my rims will fit. http://tirefactory.com/virtualwheels.cfm That is a virtual simulator for rims and tires. I just don't know if your model is in their database. ________________ egr fender flares | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
