Can I run the stock TI diff and rear end, im using much stiffer springs than stock and struts. Dont care about the exhaust work will be done custom in house. __________________ Mr. Sibbs - 95 TI Bilstein sport shocks/struts. My ti pushes over 270 hp/230 ft-lb and there's no back end trouble. The small case 3.45 LSD was used for years and a hundred thousand miles and nothing happened with 230 hp/190 ft-lb. I swapped to a medium case 2.93 for fuel economy, and that should be slightly stronger. | | | 07-02-2010, 01:45 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: chicago Posts: 42 | Ok thanks for the quick response, the most damn expensive thing in this swap is the driveshaft lol, got a good, cheap, work-around? __________________ Mr. Sibbs - 95 TI Bilstein sport shocks/struts. I'm using the stock getrag and an M5 clutch/M3 flywheel. | | | 07-02-2010, 02:05 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: chicago Posts: 42 | You talking about the stock TI trans? I am running the stock getrag with the M50, works perfect... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I've seen many a swapped ti and supercharged using the stock transmission. It's a fear, but I've never had any issues and I've got more power than most swaps with my boosted setup. Especially with a 2.5L motor which is only a little more powerful than the m44 (compared to the S52 or something) and used the Getrag 250 anyhow I believe. The ZF came with the M52 and S52 motors if I remember correctly. | | | 07-02-2010, 02:26 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: chicago Posts: 42 | thanks for the help this is going to make this a lot easier. __________________ Mr. Sibbs - 95 TI Bilstein sport shocks/struts.
