As for the braces I put them on top (Polished aluminum Western Star grill material) for looks, the stock piece has a few indentations there to help keep anything placed on it in place so even though I do not put stuff on the rear tray (unsafe under braking) I thought it would look good. | | | 08-19-2009, 03:52 AM | #5 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Looks great, nice work! | | | 08-19-2009, 05:25 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Wellington-New Zealand Posts: 78 | Yeah. GOOD WORK. you should be proud b/c that looks amazing for a DIYer. you should look into buying the side strings to hook it on the hatch when you open it up so it raises the shelf too. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Covered it with the same style carpet you would use on a speaker box and added the aluminum strips to give it some rigidity. Good luck, post picks when you get yours done. | | | 02-25-2012, 07:16 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | i know this is an old thread...but, i have a friend here in Denver who made one a few years back...like his, yours is awesome! __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 02-25-2012, 11:13 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 172 | Sweet...I think I like the flat look better than the factory molded one... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
