Default Hatch privacy cover

Mine did not come with one so I made My own.

wow not bad, whatd you use to make it and hows it mounted? think itd be possible to make it open with the hatch like the factory one?

nice job, are those braces going across the top? might look better with them on the bottom

I will have it working like the stock one by this weekend, just a few more parts to manufacture.

As for the braces I put them on top (Polished aluminum Western Star grill material) for looks, the stock piece has a few indentations there to help keep anything placed on it in place so even though I do not put stuff on the rear tray (unsafe under braking) I thought it would look good.

whoa. that is some good manufacturing there buddy. GOOD WORK. you should be proud b/c that looks amazing for a DIYer. you should look into buying the side strings to hook it on the hatch when you open it up so it raises the shelf too.

Check list: S52 swap, manual transmission swap, 3.25 LSD with M Coupe diff cover, SuperSprint muffler, M3 style mirrors, AFE intake, ASC delete, M50 Manifold swap, UUC strut bar, ZHP lighted knob, Vaders, M-tech interior, OEM armrest, AC Schintzer front lip, AC Schnitzer rear spoiler, Roof spoiler, 18'' rims, M3 front drilled brakes, LED interior lights, 3 spoke Euro style steering wheel, OEM roof spoiler and bike holder, Thule fairing, Euro tail lights, oil pressure guage, carbon fiber hood painted to original paint (still showing CF weaving), what's next to do...?

I used 1/4 inch fiber board, made cardboard cutouts to make the sides with the right curves in them, measured side to side and cut it out with a saber saw. Covered it with the same style carpet you would use on a speaker box and added the aluminum strips to give it some rigidity.

Good luck, post picks when you get yours done.
