Thumbs down Crankshaft Oil Leak

My son's '97 has an oil leak where the crank shaft exits the timing cover. Can someone provide the repair procedure and required parts, including any "while you're there" stuff.
Thanks.

make sure it is not the oil filter housing leaking where it bolts to the block. there is a tube that goes between the two w/ an o-ring on each end. the o-rings are what normally leak. most shops charge about 4-5 hours to replace them. make sure you do both. One is slightly larger than the other. most of the time the dealer will give you two of the same size. this leak will run down and drip from the same place as a front seal. the tale-tale sign is if it is wet right where the housing mounts the block. good luck, I hope it is just the seal.
