So many of you know that I have installed a Aftermarket Prosport Coolant temp gauge. About a month ago, I noticed the gauge started reading weird.. I thought it was the sender at first, swapped that out and negative. Then I sent the gauge back to Prosport gauges and was told it was fine the gauge was reading normal.. Changed the Thermostat out and still the Temp gauge would get hot (gauge on cluster stood normal) , my buddy informed me to move the sender instead of off the Upper raditor hose to the actual block temp so I can monitor the engine temp not radiator temp.
All the said and done, is there any extra ports on the engine near the OEM temp sensor to tap and thread the 1/8 npt aftermarket sender? Also is there just a way I can get a T made to use the stock port where the sender is and use the OEM and A/M sender in the same port?
Please help me out if you have knowledge of this, and if you can also tell me the thread pitch of the OEM temp sensor.
Reference to the port I was talking about.. #7
