Default What happened to the 318ti Yahoo group?

Had not been there in a few weeks, now it says there is no such group. Did we assimilate them Borg stylee?

hmmm... even when I go the long way around and sign in, then go to groups and search Yahoo says there is no 318ti group. Still shows the 332ti and 325ti group though!

Group Not Found

There is no group called bmw318ti. Please make sure you typed the web address correctly. If you have done so, the group may no longer exist.

If I don't hear back from Shawn, the listowner, I might set up a list on 318ti.net before I go away on vacation.

Hi Steven !
I have to say that I am not really a fan with the "forum" formula.
The "list" one I much better deal with !
Of course you get EVERYthing, but at least you don't miss any ... ;o))

Well that does not tell us what happened with the Yahoo group.
Do you remember who was (were) the moderator(s) ?
Any clash from last wednesday ?
Any trouble with the Yahoo server ?
I can see the other Yahoo groups I belong with.
This is somewhat mysterious ...

It will be searchable.
I can change the name and options of the list when I get home from Ofest.
I'm on a very slow laptop and limited to what I can do.

Too bad I don't have the yahoo list subscriber base.
I can't post to the message board using my laptop.

Please mention www.318ti.net in the what happened to the yahoo list thread.
When I can I'll make an announcement.

Thanks,

Steven,
I've just subscribed at the new list. The "E36/5" name is great ! ;o)
I also sent an enquiry from Yahoo about the "vanished" 318ti group.
Waiting ...
However since I can't anymore post anything on the Yahoo list, I am posting an announcement of the new list itself, and to the some (few) Yahoo listers whom I have the private e-mail address, asking from them to pass the word.
Wait and see ...

Do you think that Yahoo would let us send a final e-mail the the old list of addresses to advise them to come to here (or .net)? there is a lot of listers who will just dissapear otherwise.

Default I am over to the new list too.

Hey folks, it is Maverick from the old group, aka David Ellsworth. I am hoping they get this sorted because I am getting withdrawl pains. Well, I guess it won't matter as long as all the good people of the group can get together somewhere in the ether and compare notes.

Might be a good time to ask something I have wondered: what are some of the other groups that are good to checkout???

The mailing list has a slightly different flavor than the board.
First, the demographic is older and many have been on the list for several years. Plus many of us bought our cars new. There are many posts here that would not be tolerated there.

I went through every yahoo message I had back through 2004 and pulled email addresses. I only ound a few hundred. I sent each one an invite to join the list I set up at 318ti.net. If the yahoo list comes back, I'll close it. But for now, there is a mailing list.
