Good news: I haven't gotten the redirect in a few days! It seemed to be only from Google links as well.

I could navigate through the forum just fine, but when I'd use a link from Google, there was like a 70~80% chance that I would get the redirect.

Hasn't happened this week yet.

But it definitely wasn't a browser/network/computer thing, for sure a server-side issue.
It would happen on my Macbook, my PC, but most importantly - my phone when I was using normal data, not wifi.

Seems like it's sorted now! Great job finding it

Thanks for letting me know.
I added one line of suggested code to prevent the redirect.
Not sure if that helped.

I turned every plugin off and back on.
That is supposed to restore some of the data structure.

I appreciate those who got the redirect for not freaking out.

I've been getting these redirects as well. My experience has been that I get the Adult Friend Finder ads on my desktop and on my phone, it seems to always give me the filestore link mentioned by the OP.

I doubt it has to do with malware on the computer since it only happens on websites that run vBulletin for me (this happens sometimes for me on bimmerforums).

Just adding another data point. Hope this gets fixed, because it's annoying seeing that stuff when I'm taking a break at work or something and browsing some bimmer stuff.

I'm going to try something like this http://www.winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm to at least redirect me to somewhere safe if it does happen. Hope that helps other peeps.

Default Odd Redirect

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know I think the Adult Friend finder redirect and other ones are gone. I did however get this today after directly typing www.318ti.org . I looked in the the logs and it looks like Avast free (which sometimes goes overboard admittedly) blocked a redirect from happening with directly typing the site. I've attached a snippet of it if it helps. It doesn't worry me too much with Avast free blocking it but it may still be around. Keep in my this is my work computer that I just cleanly wiped and reloaded with a Windows 7 Pro image. Hope this helps.

I added a line of code that prevented the redirects which broke the additional smilies.
This weekend I removed that code.

I'll add it back and see what happens

Seems to be worse with vBulletin sites but it happens with wordpress too.
