Default My Club Sport Thread

as some of you already know i recently found myself a club sport.

it is one of 3 without a sunroof.

new parts consist of this list

New differential 2006
New serpentine belt 12/07
Chain tensioner 2004
shocks & struts , balljoints 2003
bushings/alinement 9/2006
flex disc 9/2006
compression test 2006--engine fine
new windshield 2005

anyways this thread will be designated for the club sport and the process of me working on it abnd slowly building it up to what i want.

i randomly found it by sending a message to a user with 8 posts and the thread was a year old. with my crazy luck she was selling it. my car sold the same day so i gladly gave her the asking price.

i found myself an auto shipping from PA to TX (which was hell!!) because i wanted this car in my possession as soon as possible. i wouldnt have been able to go fly in and pick it up myself for another 3 weeks.
shipping ended up costing me a pretty penny of 750 but with my luck and for that price i scored since it was picked up last night 1 business day after i hired a truck (was an estimated 3-5 days on pickup but ended up being 1)

well heres the good part....

the truck was loaded last night and the previous owner was kind enough to take a few pictures for me to share with all of you.

only downside was due to rushed timing and unexpected pickup time i get to keep the snow tires. but thats fine with me i will find myself a nice set of 17's and mount them up.

Ha yeah, mine was taken from me maliciously by an old lady and her Tercel.. She thought it'd be fun not to stay stopped at her sign as i was passing by.

I gave it to the insurance company and took the check. In retrospect i should have parted it out.. but after 2 months of messing with it i was ready to wash my hands of it all. Don't have the wheels, sorry. They certainly were pretty wheels, but heavier than all get out.

Hey, girls like shiney things, so I bet that your GF would like them. :-) Still, to be honest, I'm not sure I like chrome on red anyway. Not that I really love chrome on any color.

Ah, but your interior is 2 years older than mine, and Red Millpoint looks better in a black car anyway. :-p

Once I get my Style 43's installed, I'll still be one up on ya. LOL

my girlfriend has pretty good taste in cars and wheels. she hates chrome wheels on anything.

and i am going to have to disagree my interior may be 2 years old but its in a club sport so i win win win! lol i have stock m tech mirrors and molding. and limited slip

hehehe

i actually wanna get a set of vaders and buy some red millpoint fabric and cover them with it and have stock looking vaders!

I see you've already drank the Club Sport Kool-Aid, and you don't even have it in your possession yet. LOL (In case the Kool-Aid reference is too old for ya)

I'm not a huge fan of the mirrors on the Club Sport, but the LSD gives ya a +1.

Where in the hell are you going to buy Millpoint Red fabric??? I'd love to come up with a source for Millpoint Purple cloth so that I can someday put that in a Techno Violet 318ti, then put the chrome wheels on that car. It'll be "BMW Pimp." It'll be years before I have the spare cash for that project, but I'm sure I'll still have the damn wheels. grrrrrr

Seriously though... congrats on finding a decent Club Sport, now don't screw it up!!!
