Default S52 Turbo. No start. Help.

So I bought an s52 turbo 318ti a few months back. It was swapped by a shop in NC. The car was not running because of fueling issues the PO said. It was sitting for a while and he said it was bad gas etc. The car would run but very poorly. Long story short, the PO had 2 ecu's, one a kassel and one a stock ecu with a turbo tune. He was having issues with the turbo ecu so he bought a new kassel ecu with a ews delete thinking that would fix it. (with no tune on it smh). So obviously that didnt work and he didnt let me know there was no tune on the kassel ecu until about 2 weeks ago. (2 months wasted) I sent in my turbod ecu, got the ews deleted to make sure i had a good ecu. The ecu started a stock s52 car, just ran crappy obviously. Put it in my car and no start, just cranks. Now I have no spark or fuel. Getting 8v to my coils packs. Nothing to my fuel rail. I scanned it and got P0500, p0600, p0451, and p1145. Most of the codes seem to be electrical sensor issues? Also from what I read, p0600 is for automatic cars. Basically stumped at this point. Any help is appreciated.

Go standalone and never look back. ??
SDS, Megasquirt, Apexi... there are many starting at about 1000 and going up..

You've likely got a mismatch ecu to car (Auto vs manual??) Possibly a wiring harness issue as well Sounds like the car never ran so you need to start like its a new project and go through the whole harness or find a guy with the skills.

The thing that bugs me is that it should be something simple. The PO drove the car for a while until it sat, so the ecu worked at one point. I was hoping to not go that route because of the money, but if I run out of options that will be what i have to do.

The engine turns over correct but no fuel or spark. Was the car an automatic or was the ECU from an automatic?

It really sounds like you have some wiring issues. Odd because for the most part it's almost plug and play. The car is what year?

The car was not an automatic as far as I know. It ran at one point so I feel like that shouldnt be an issue. I could send in my ecus and have the tune transferred to my kassel ecu? With the kassel ecu it ran but just real crappy because it doesnt have a tune obviously. The car is a 95 ti. The motor is out of a 99 m3.

So does this car have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail? aka OBD 1 style, because if it does not it will never run with an OBD 2 fuel rail because the fuel pressure regulator is on the chassis.

Its not on the rail. The lines off the regulator are set up poorly. I was planning on redoing them once I get it running. But its building pressure.

So I gave trm a call to pick their brain a little and they told me that if the CEL does not come on when you turn the ignition on, that its a bad dme. Both dme's did not do this. I know the kassel is good since it starts my car. Not sure what that tells me..

That tells me there is a wiring disconnect. You are going to have to re-examine your wiring setup. For starters how about you post a few decent photos of your set-up.

Kassel.....sorry I have never heard of that company, but that doesn't really mean that much.

Are there any turbo specialist in your local area? I have only done Supercharging and was debating on slippery slope of selling my AA supercharger setup to to fund going turbo. But in reality I don't need a super fast street car and my track days take care of my speed junkie urges.

And there are no turbo specialists in the area. Cant even find a shop that will look at my car because of the swap. This car is a nightmare. The only thing keeping me going is the amount of fun I will have if I get it running. Lol

It cranks but lacks fuel and spark. I know of a guy but he is in Michigan.
