I made drawings of the Camshaft locking tool, Flywheel Locking Pin, and Rigid Chain tensioner. I made all of these and used them for my head install, so I know they work.
Here are the parts to make... you'll need 1 of each:

RIGID_ASSY.pdf TEMPLATE_CS.pdf Also, you will need an E12 size torx socket to remove the head bolts. I bought a Lisle set at pelican parts so I wasn't stuck with just 1 size (and it's cheaper than the BMW tool).
However the O.D. of the socket wouldn't fit in the area where the head bolts were. I modified the socket as shown here to 17mm OD. It came out beautiful, but you must keep a water dish close by and keep dipping it in so you don't soften the tool.
