Default Trunk Lip Spoiler ASCOT GREEN vs BOSTON GREEN

Hi,

Does anybody got a spoiler from these guys?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...6434704&rd=1,1

So far my problem is that they are claiming this Ascot green color (I couldn't find this color for any E36 produced) and my car is Boston green (looks the same like on these e-bay pictures). They insyst that they do BMW factory colors but it still seems weird to me that BMW produces 2 almost the same colors with different names..

Any opinion/ suggestion?

Thanks and Best Regards,

It is a BMW color.

353 Ascotgrόn Ascot Green Green

Looks like maybe something that is used on the motorcycles as opposed to the cars. The models- R850R, R1100R, R850C, R1200C.

Thanks for the replay.
Actually, I did not express my self clear. I do not question 353 Ascotgrün Ascot Green Green as a BMW color for cars or motorcycles thru the years. I just could not find it applicapable for any E36 car. Eventually with your help I am trying to justify buying this lip spoiler for my car having good enough color match.

Sorry for any confusion. I'll agree with you that it does not look like that color was used on an e36. Was just saying that it is used on some of the motorcycles.

They should be able to tell you what kind of difference there is between that color code and your color code. Have you given the vendor your paint code? Did they respond and say this is an exact match? It is very possible it is the same paint with a different name/code whether it is for a car or bike.

My car is Boston green, so I can not double check under the hood for you, but seems 353 is the right number for Ascot green.

FYI- attached are all BMW color codes, I think.

L8THSKY's car is actually fern green. But yes, Ascot green is a valid e36 color. I remember seeing it on the chart of known e36 colors. If I find the link, I'll edit. . .
