Default E46 Dash Dashboard on a E36 modification

Hello There.
Has anyone tried or heard of an E46 dashboard fitted on an E36.
Is the size different.
What about a big E36 Dash, would that fit on the compact?

I am trying to modify it because I fitted a DIN 1 size 3.5" screen but the dash
is tilted down and you can't see it when driving.
Final Idea is for it to be a GPS screen.

Cheers

^^^ 2nd that. Why not buy a deck that has a tilt-able face? That would be A LOT less hassle.

On a more serious note looking at it id say a def nooooo A. just not worth the hassle or the cost but also the E46 is wider so it just wouldnt work..iv seen a standard E36 dash in a compact but again i still dont think its worth the time or the money..be a damm site cheaper to buy a new screen that will tilt how u want it too...

You have to agree with me tho'
that it is a stupid design, the down tilt of the actual Compact dashboard.
Ok funny chappy, show me a Din 1 tiltable LCD display.

I have another idea of swaping the central air blower with the radio Din.
I could completely block it, but i don't want to.
I need some suggestions on what to use to guide the air down.

On a humorous note, I'll put same Angel eyes with rolling lights so i don't have to search to run anyone over, it will be them that will be hipnotised and gather like moths.

it does fit, not easily but there are ways to make it happen. I think the main concern was the center support bar on the passenger side.

I dont know much about it though.
