Default A/C issue

I tried to recharge the ac on my vehicle, and all i heard was the air being released by one of the hoses, anyone ever done complete A/C system redo with grommets? When I first bought the car the a/c worked. Please help, cali summer's suck.

You can't do it correctly in your garage unless you have an AC recovery machine. The cans they sell at the auto parts store are junk. Just have a professional do it.
