Default Fuel Pump; Green or Blue?

I am looking to replace my fuel pump. The stock pump is green, part number 16146758735. 328's and M3's use a blue pump, part number 16146758736. There have been several blue units for sale on ebay but no green ones, so I am think about purchasing a blue one. Before I do so I need to know if these two pumps interchangable? Are the connections the same? Has anyone replaced the green pump with a blue pump? Thanks
