M42 ECU with no EWS or other security system?

Hi
Im in the proccess of planting an M42 into my M40 car.
My M42 came off an E36ti from early 1996, it has knock sensors and DISA.
My harness and ECU are from a 1991 E30, so they support no DISA valve or knock sensors.
i dealt with the harness and added the correct wiring for the DISA and knocks, but now i need a new ECU -
Is there a year when DISA was installed but the ECU's had no EWS or other security issues things?
i dont have access to the whole car since BMW's are not that common around here
