Anyways I need to find a website with as much info as possible on these puppies. Everything i seem to find is very outdated. Specifically the whole cd changer situation. The car I have does not come with one and i would really like to get the factory unit but not for 700 plus dollars. Anyways can't wait till i get it. You will need to go with aftermarket. Brackets are only available for 97+. ...steven | | | 05-31-2002, 03:06 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Westchester, NY Posts: 234 | for the money you can get a changer and radio for under $3-400 depending on where in the market you are...it's your best bet!But if you really want factory, email me I think I am going aftermarket! I have the 6 disk changer and radio perfect working order! kinkajou74@hotmail.com | | | 05-31-2002, 06:09 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Macomb, Mi Posts: 81 | I would highly recommend going with an aftermarket head unit. The stock stereo system is pretty weak (especially the four speaker system that I have) and the head unit gives it a good kick. The other thing I did was mount some 6x9's in the hatch cover. I used the factory wiring from the rear speakers. The install looks really clean and best of all it sounds GREAT! | | | 05-31-2002, 11:04 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Ma, usa Posts: 5 | yea i didnt realize how easy it is to put int a regular aftermarket headunit. Thats all I'm gonna do. Do you know of a place online i can get the adapter for these things. I'm sure i can get them through circuit city or BB or even crutchfield but they are way over priced compared to most online stores. I just plan on saving the 50 bucks for installation and do it myself(i got car payments now!). Thanks for the help guys.
