I suspect the Clubby might be my old one. Cant really tell from the pics and the mileage doesn't jive. It probably isn't my old car, who knows. Anyway, I just stumbled across this: http://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/1463412167.html ^^^ That Avus Ti IS my old car!!! I had it for about a week before I flew to Michigan and bought my current Ti! Picked it up at a used car lot in San Diego the day I sold my Jeep and delivered it to a guy who lives down there. The night I brought it home, I was unhappy with a few things like no sunroof, no cruise and the fact that it was a base model. Then... That very same night, I found my '97 sport on ebay. Won the auction a couple days later. Sold the Avus in less than an hour to a nice lady from Oxnard. Flew to MI and picked up my new ride | | | 11-15-2009, 03:07 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | First add is funny... look at all the keywords they used, but not one mention of ClubSport. The dealer is Bimmer World. And they clearly don't know what they have. | | | 11-18-2009, 06:16 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | from what I know about Corrado's, that alone makes it an awesome example | | | 11-18-2009, 08:52 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Long Beach area Posts: 1,189 | Quote: Originally Posted by dave45056 First add is funny... look at all the keywords they used, but not one mention of ClubSport. If I was still looking for a car I'd go check it out though. -Randy __________________ 97 Jet Black 318ti Sport. Not so stock anymore!.... It's a '95 318ti 5spd in black with Mtech front and rear bumpers and mirrors. No interior pics, but everything on the exterior and the fact that it's a '95, black and a 5 speed would point towards it possibly being a ClubSport. Mileage is kinda high and no mention of service or history, but for 2500 bucks it seems like a decent deal. Anyway, no affiliation, here's the link: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...948690267.html Quote: I am selling a 1995 BMW 318ti for $2500. 200k miles, 4 cylinder engine, manual transmission, CLEAN TITLE, plates until december. My Ti is coming along. I've been messin around with my milling machine. The aluminum part I'm making is almost finished, but I'm about to try something that might backfire and set me back to starting over To be honest, I kinda wish I would've just shelled out the cash and bought the m50 manifold kit, but there is some satisfaction knowing that I basically sculpted my own part from a raw block of aluminum. Hang in there man, I'm getting close. | | | 01-08-2012, 01:06 PM | #14 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | another one, in NorCal: $3500 (santa clara) http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/2769644754.html doesn't have Mtech mirrors though. Hope that you had a much fun flying to pick up your ti as I did. I flew up to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and drove it back to my home north of Dallas. Had a ball and saw some beautiful country that I had never seen before. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
