Default lighting switch wire

doesn anyone know how to tap into the wire for headlights?

my head unit has a dimmer which is supposed to be connected to the headlight swtich, so that the lights on the HU dims when the headlights are turned on.

how do i connect this wire to the switch?

as a sidenote, the wiring harness had a wire labeled 'illumination' which i've connected the cable to, but doesn't seem to work.

thanks heaps
