Default Timing chain and radiator

Ok. No.1, I've been reading lots about our cars and it seems that radiators on the six cylinder engines need to be replaced at around 90,000 miles. is this also true for our four cylinder engines.
No.2, I thought for the longest time that cars that use timing chains, such as our respective bimmers, do not need periodic replacements of the timing chain such as those engines with timing belts. However, this is not true from what I've read and heard.
Can someone clarify these things for me?
Greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Weezer

yeah radiators need to be replaced around that time i wish i would have mine cracked on the freeway while in traffic it was horrible as for the timing chain we dont really need to change them often we dont have enough rpms to make them break or strech and if they get loose there very easy to tighten up.........

Is there a section in here with pics on what is involved to tighten up a chain or even replace the tensioner...mines got a chatter sound from the front of the motor and I am worried about it being the chain and it going boom. Last thing I need right now is to have the car go to sh&ts on me.
