Default My ex-Girlfriend and my ti

I had been going out with a girl since November, and we've had our share of problems -- for example, not long ago she got so drunk she passed out on my couch. What's the big deal you ask? Well she also pissed herself that night. I then layed in it the next day before I realized what happened.

When I told her I was looking at buying my ti she said "I don't do BMW's or Mercedes". At first I just took that as a joke... but after thinking about it for a while I texted her back and said "were you serious about BMW's?

Her answer was yes. She told me that BMW's were driven by "douchbags" and "status seekers" and she refused to drive, ride, or even sit in my new car. I was flabergasted. Honestly this was one of the final straws in our relationship. She claimed the fact that my new car had 150k miles was proof I was only buying the car for show, not because I thought it was a good car.

I told her I just love cars, and had always loved the ti. It wasn't about status for me, I just wanted a cool car that drove as well as it looked. This didn't matter. So I dumped her. Granted there were things that happened in the interum, but still -- what the FUC#?

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

WTF!? whoa. dude. that girl = issues. was she even cute?
anyway. that girl just sounds like she is full of herself. its just a car. i mean dont get me wrong, the ti is a good car as long as you take care of it just like any other car. but to argue over a car and say that she dont do BMWs. wtf. good thing you got rid of her. no offense. sry that you had to go to that extreme. you'll find another and better fish in the sea.

Ha...chick has some issues. Like Marv said, just another fish in the sea. I'm the most humble of all my friends and I drive a BMW, and my girl knows that I don't drive it for attention or status. If I wanted that, I'd be driving something like a Mustang with straight pipes. Instead, I drive a conservative 1.8L I4 with a stock exhaust system. Yeah, your girl had issues. Interesting though...

While I'm sure there are some people driving BMW's as "status seekers" I'd say the majority don't. She definately had issues and I'd say you made the right choice in the car vs. girlfriend battle.

people who judge people by what they drive = douchebags

btw, i always get a bad feeling when meeting a new chick and she asks what kind of car i drive, cause ... who gives a fcuk? people do tend to get a particular idea in their head when they find out you drive a bmw. must be sad to live life like that ...

damn... I am 37 and the only reason my Ex hated my bmw was because it was set up too stiff for her. She thought it was fun to ride in, but hated the actual ride. A sport bra was a must for her.

She was a professional dancer too (not that kind) and was on the road as part of the Ensemble for "the producers" so it was not like she was top heavy either.

Anyway man.. anybody who judges you so superficially is superficial themselves.. you will find somebody MUCH better soon.

I think if you don't have much money when you are young you associate BMWs with rich people and resent them for their privileges. Same association goes for golf - and I don't mean the public course. When you get older you realise you want some nice things for yourself too and then you stop hating others for what they have and start thinking about how you will get what you like. I know some hippies and Harley guys who are the biggest snobs of all. Expensive home audio, organic food, custom bikes - and they still insist they are somehow different.

Wanna psychologically destroy her? Tell her that her eyes are too far apart and her face is too round. Followed by she's fat, she has big feet and her pu$$y stinks. Then tell her that your Ti cost under 5 grand and it's already worth more than she is. That should just about do it, lol.

sounds like a messed up biatch. Id tell her to get some class and then kick her to the curb. Im guessing the age range for this relationship is between 17-20 years old....

the general consensus people have of others who drive BMW's are douchebags... my response to that is always "I was a douchebag long before I ever drove a BMW, but thank you for noticing"
